Dean Hughes

Dean Hughes is an artist, writer and researcher whose work is exhibited internationally. His writing has been published in the Journals Drawing Research Theory and Pracice, Art and Design Communication in Higher Education, and recently he has published two essays on the work of British Artist Roger Ackling - one concerning stillness as a drawing method (Intellect Journals, 2024) and one addressing Acklings legacy as an art educator (Norwich Castle, 2024) Current research concerns are the material qualities of transience in contemporary art and the physical aspects of the moment of making.
